New chapter added in Americans: The Novel

John Ralston is gay, an active Christian, and a key character in Americans: The Novel. He is introduced in today’s addition to the online novel:

Never lacking in energy or creativity,  was a favorite with the children and was also active in many of the church’s activities.  A boyish looking 42 of medium height and build, with an easy smile and slightly spiked tousle of brown hair, Ralston had spent much of his career running children’s programs for a conservative social service group that had become an uncomfortable place for him to be when he decided eight years earlier to come out of the closet and live his homosexuality openly.
